Sep 19,2025In order to ensure that the LED solar folding work emergency light can work stably in harsh environments such as outdoors, construction sites, and disaster relief, the product adopts multiple protective measures in its design, including waterproof and moisture-proof, dust-proof and sand-proof, shock-resistant and drop-resistant, high and low temperature resistant, corrosion-resistant, and circuit safety protection.
1. Waterproof and moisture-proof (IP protection level)
(1) Sealed structure design
The lamp body adopts an integrated molding process, combined with a silicone sealing ring or waterproof tape to ensure that the shell joints are not easy to seep water. A waterproof junction box is used at the connection between the solar panel and the lamp body to prevent rainwater from invading the circuit.
(2) IP protection level
Usually reaches IP65/IP66 protection standards:
IP65: Completely dustproof (level 6) and can withstand the impact of low-pressure water spray (such as rain).
IP66: Stronger water spray resistance, can withstand high-pressure water columns (such as heavy rain or flushing), but not suitable for long-term immersion.
Some high-end models may have IP67 (short-term immersion) or IP68 (long-term waterproof), but please check the product description for details.
(3) Drainage and anti-condensation design
Some models have drainage holes at the bottom to prevent water accumulation.
The internal circuit board is coated with a moisture-proof coating (such as three-proof paint) to prevent moisture from corroding components.
2. Dust and sand prevention (anti-foreign object entry)
(1) Complete dustproof (IP6X)
Meets the IP6X dustproof standard and can completely block dust and sand from entering the lamp body. It is suitable for dusty environments such as construction sites, deserts, and mines.
(2) Folding joint dustproof design
Dust covers or sealed bearings are used at the folding hinge to prevent sand from getting stuck and affecting opening and closing.
Exposed parts such as charging ports and USB output ports are equipped with rubber dust plugs to prevent foreign objects from entering.
3. Shock and drop resistance (durable structure)
(1) High-strength shell material
Lamp body: Made of ABS engineering plastic + rubber wrapping, strong impact resistance, can withstand a drop from a height of 1-2 meters (some products have passed the MIL-STD-810G military standard test).
Solar panel: tempered glass panel, scratch-resistant, wear-resistant, and not easy to break.
(2) Internal shockproof design
The circuit board is reinforced with shock-absorbing rubber pads or screws to prevent components from loosening due to bumps.
The lithium battery is fixed with an anti-seismic bracket to prevent severe vibration from affecting battery life.
4. High and low temperature resistance (wide temperature operation)
(1) Adapt to extreme temperatures
Operating temperature range: usually -20℃~50℃, some industrial-grade products can reach -30℃~60℃.
Cold-resistant lithium battery: Using lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) or low-temperature lithium battery, it can still maintain a high power output in cold environments.
(2) Temperature protection mechanism
High temperature protection: When the ambient temperature is too high, the brightness is automatically reduced or charging is suspended to prevent the battery from overheating.
Low temperature protection: In extremely cold environments, the battery management system (BMS) will adjust the discharge strategy to prevent damage to the lithium battery.
5. Corrosion protection (anti-chemical)
Anti-rust shell: Anti-oxidation coating or anti-corrosion alloy is used, which is suitable for chemical plants and coastal high salt fog environments.
Acid and alkali proof design: The shell materials of some industrial-grade products can resist minor chemical corrosion (such as oil stains and detergents).
6. Safety protection (circuit protection)
(1) Lithium battery protection
Overcharge protection: Automatically cut off the power after charging to 100% to prevent battery bulging.
Over-discharge protection: Automatically shut down when the power is too low to avoid deep discharge damage to the battery.
Short circuit protection: When the circuit is abnormal, the output is automatically cut off to prevent burning of components.
(2) LED constant current drive
Constant current IC chip is used to ensure stable LED brightness and avoid flickering or burning of lamp beads due to voltage fluctuations.
7. Portable and wind-resistant design
(1) Foldable and portable
After folding, it is small in size (such as the size of A4 paper) and light in weight (usually 500g-1kg), making it easy to carry.
(2) Stable and wind-resistant
After unfolding, a triangular bracket or magnetic base is used to ensure that it is not easy to fall over in strong winds.
Some models are equipped with hooks/straps, which can be hung on tents, vehicles or branches for use.
